Base4NFDI User Conference 2026 in Berlin
This year marks the third edition of the Base4NFDI User Conference (UC4B2026). We will meet on November 24–25 at Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, Haus Potsdamer Straße. We hereby cordially invite you to contribute to the conference. Registration for participation will open in August/September 2026; you will be notified in due time.
The
2026 program welcomes contributions from across the NFDI and beyond.
Members of sections, working groups, consortia, Basic Service teams, and
related initiatives are invited to participate and share their ideas
and experiences as well as best practices.
By
contributing, participants can increase the visibility of their work,
exchange insights with stakeholders from across the NFDI, and help
identify opportunities for broader adoption and integration of services.

NFDI4Earth Plenary 2026 NFDI4Earth Plenary 2026 Boosting Biodata Bootcamp 2026 in Aachen
This year, NFDI4Microbiota will host its Annual Conference for the first time jointly with other consortia of the NFDI Biodata Interest Group: FAIRagro, DataPLANT, NFDI4Biodiversity, and NFDI4BIOIMAGE.The aim of this joint event is to train the biological research community in research data management and data analysis, while providing inspiring insights into how these skills contribute to high-quality scientific research.

NFDI4Earth Plenary 2026 NFDI4Earth Plenary 2026 Data Stewardship in Germany 2026
From 28 to 29 September 2026, the fifth DSgG Community Meeting will take place at the University of Cologne under the motto ‘DSgG – from going to growing’. After four successful meetings organised by the TU9 Research Data Working Group, the 2026 meeting will be organised for the first time by the Data Stewardship in Germany Community.

Under the theme ‘Shaping a global open research commons‘, RDA P27 will bring the global RDA community together to explore how they can collectively build a strong, connected, and sustainable open research ecosystem. Digital research infrastructures are essential to modern research and innovation. They connect researchers and innovators with the data, tools, computing resources, and skills needed to drive discovery.

Our next conversation will be with Federico Cetrangolo, the Administrative Manager of LA Referencia. Federico is based in Argentina and we are excited to exchange experiences on Open Science with a region we so far have not covered in our series.

DMP4NFDI Workshop: RDMO for Editors
Participants will gain practical experience in working with RDMO and the NFDI DMP Template. Based on our developed Train-the-Trainer concept for DMPs and RDMO, this interactive workshop guides participants in how to navigate the RDMO management interface, create new DMP templates (catalogs) or adapt existing ones and use the NFDI DMP Template to build interoperable and standardised DMP templates.

6th Culture Community Plenary in Bochum
The Culture Community Plenary (CCP) is a two-day event that takes place once a year. On this occasion, all members of the consortium and its governance as well as guests from national and international research and infrastructure will come together to discuss the current status of the consortium, present results of completed tasks and give an update on the progress of the work programme in order to define the consortium's strategy for the next year.

UC4B2026 brings together Base4NFDI, its funded basic services and the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) community for two days of exchange, collaboration and hands-on discussions on shared research data management (RDM) services. This year's event focuses on hands-on sessions with incubator presentations and opportunities to showcase service integration within your community and strategic discussions on topics such as operating models for basic services.
