our fireside chat series featuring seasoned leaders from research data
infrastructures (RDI) as they share hard‑won insights on building,
running, and sustaining reliable data ecosystems. Each session will
uncover practical lessons for long-term sustainability governance,
federated services, community buy-in, and long‑term sustainability –
designed to inspire the current and future RDI leaders.
The 45-minute interviews, held by Najla Rettberg, Coordinator of Base4NFDI, will engage with timely topics, for example:
- Sustainability: Transitioning from project to permanent operating models
- Community Buy-In: Enhancing user engagement and uptake
- Governance: Finding the right fit when it comes to business models and financing approaches
- Long-Term Impact & Scalability: The role of digital sovereignty and AI

The Text+ Consortium will hold a conference bringing together all staff members and interested parties, including delegates from professional associations and federations, to discuss the project’s progress and current developments. This year’s conference, entitled ‘Final Workshop of the First Project Phase’, will take place at the castle in Mannheim.

The entire FAIRmat team gathers twice a year for the internal FAIRmat Project Meeting to focus on project updates, strategic planning, collaboration opportunities, and discussions on future directions. The final Project Meeting of FAIRmat’s first funding period will take place from June 17 to 19, 2026, at our headquarters in Berlin.

NFDI4Earth Plenary 2026 NFDI4Earth Plenary 2026 IAM4NFDI Community Workshop
The team is hosting a user meeting for current users and interested parties of the community‑AAI software, they provide across NFDI landscape (AcademicID, didmos, RegApp, and Unity). They will begin with a joint session covering overarching topics, then break into separate virtual rooms dedicated to each CAAI.
